Afterpay Australian Fashion Week
AAFW was a tremendous success. After so much expectation and lock downs, we had a brief break from Covid as cases and pandemic were controlled. So the tickets were booked to go from the peaceful Gold Coast in Queensland Australia to the lively Sydney in New South Wales.
No new cases, no community transmissions and the doors of the fashion world was reopened to celebrate the art of dressing up.
I was invited by Afterpay and several designers to be present at the shows, however my reluctant and still fearful self hesitated to see all of them as things can change drastically in a few hours.
With that in mind I decided to go to Sydney for a 24 h trip, one night and two days gave me the possibility to watch a few designers and check designers and labels exhibitions.
So here I bring to you Afterpay Australian Fashion Week. Enjoy!

About why I created the Artist Entrepreneur Club:
That’s me, behind the scenes of The Artist Entrepreneur Club!My mission is to give artists the marketing and sales training they are lacking, so they can make a living by selling art independently, without waiting for galleries to give them opportunities.
I created the Artist Entrepreneur Club in May 2020, after having worked in galleries and assisted artists for 5 years.
While in galleries, I worked in sales, marketing, artist liaison, museums and institutions liaison, shipping and packing artworks, putting exhibitions together, event and office management, art performance and installation research, accountancy as well as (too?) many other administrative tasks.
While gaining experience in art galleries, I realized that most visitors in galleries, are artists who were trying to enter the community of art galleries, because they were told it’s the only way to sell.
I am what we could call “self-taught” in online marketing and sales. Truth is, I’ve learned directly from several six and seven figure business owners.
I’ve always loved both Art and entrepreneurship. The Artist Entrepreneur Club was the perfect way for me to combine both fields, which I now understand, have so many points in common.
I have now helped more than 95 artists grow their online marketing and sales, as I know what are the important points an artist entrepreneur should nail if they want to grow their business consistently.

Why You Should Consider Moving to a Big City
There’s been a push for people to move back into cities recently. We want to feel connected and close to each other, and nothing says close, quite like over a million people living within two miles of you. Here are some of the best reasons to move to any city and make it your own.
More to Do
Cities are overflowing with opportunity and chance. Turning down a different street than usual can invite you into restaurants and shops you’ve never heard of, and a chance encounter could have you at a club you wouldn’t find otherwise. There’s always something new and thrilling to do in the city, and unless you’re a stickler for fine dining, most of it is inexpensive! Why go to the same bar you’ve gone to since your early twenties when you can party at a new hot spot every night?
More People to Meet
If you’ve been feeling isolated or cut off from people in a spaced-out suburb or rural area, a city may feel like culture shock. Not only are there more people per capita, but they’re also all a lot more close and personal. This can take some time to adjust to and might not be for everyone, but it’s an excellent way for you to meet new people whenever you want to. You won’t have to worry about being lonely as long as you put in some effort to get out there.
Fewer Allergies
Many don’t consider when they’re looking at Calgary homes for sale because moving into a city can cut you off from pollen and other allergens. This cleanse doesn’t mean you’re free from all allergies; if you have a dust or pet allergy, it could worsen in the city: but seasonal allergies will be over for you. This problem may sound small to some, but for those who have to sneeze for two to six weeks out of the year because of ragweed pollen, or even grass pollen, this can be a much-needed release of sinus pressure.

ces for Career AdvancementsIf you feel like you’ve been stuck at the same point in your career for the last couple of years, it may be time to consider advancing and changing it up. Larger cities mean more firms, companies, or clients who are willing to hire you for what you do or more. Bigger cities see more employment competition, which means jobs will reward those who stay with them longer more readily. An excellent job in a large city is more likely to have upward mobility than working for a smaller one in the suburbs.
More Ways to Make Money
If you don’t like to get tied down to one company or contract, you can be a free agent in the city! Not only are more people available to be clients, but there are also way more ways to make money in the town. Some full-time work jobs traveling between people’s apartments and watering their plants, while others invent jobs as they go and make a killing at it. There’s a demand for almost everything in larger cities, which means anyone can make bank.

The way we advertise goes beyond a pretty face on TV telling others what to buy, well Influencers and Bloggers actually try the products, visit hotels and locations to give their loyal followers accurate review of their own experience. We photograph amazing shots, we also edit our images, create videos and many of us edit them too. The work behind the images is not fully disclosed as there is a lot of work that can take weeks for one campaign.

Life as a Multidimensional Creative Person
I have been involved in the arts’ world since I was very little. In fact my first memories are related to arts. I fell in love with the camera and fashion at the age of 4. A few years later I fell in love with literature. By the age of 7, I started writing poems because this was the very first genre I loved. Then my love story with all forms of art began. It led me to pursue acting and dance also.
It all evolved from a passion to a career path. At first I found myself in front of cameras and years later I found myself behind the camera. A few years ago, I wanted to prepare a book trailer for a novel I wrote
It was very expensive to have it done professionally, so I decided to take the pictures myself. These were my very first landscape images, below you can watch the trailer and see how far I have come when it comes to photography. Most of my work can be seen on my Instagram HERE

This made me realise that behind the lens there was a world that I have not discovered yet. My fascination by photography behind the camera started then.
The next step was to add all my images to Instagram, an app that has connected the whole world through visual arts. There I found my chosen family. Instagram introduced me to people like me. I now connect with artists from all over the world. I feel like I have found my tribe, I feel understood and appreciated. The support I receive is my fuel.
Two of my dearest friends invited me to be a guest on the Thought Row Podcast where they host an incredible Podcast and give voices to so many artists and creative thinkers around the world. This project in my view is very important as I believe Artists and Art need more exposure and more support. So they did it!

The beautiful people working at this cafe are an absolute delight. My family and I were received with a big smile and we were looked after so well by all. It was a first class service.

At the Resort you will enjoy fine dining, cocktails, and High Coffee.
